#104 Western Festival de St. Tite: IPRA Updates with Dale Yerigan

Welcome to Beyond the Chutes, where we take a deep dive into the thrilling world of professional rodeo. Hosted by Doug Simcox, this episode brings you conversations from the recording studio at the legendary Western Festival de St. Tite in Quebec, celebrating 56 years of rodeo excellence! Doug is joined by Dale Yerigan, 11-time steer wrestling champion and president of the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA). Together, they unpack the rodeo performances, the festival’s rich history, and the pulse of professional rodeo today.

Get the inside scoop on the WCRA’s stunning victory at the inaugural Kid Rock Rockin’ Rodeo in Arlington, Texas, where the team, including IPRA riders, walked away with a million-dollar prize. Hear how the 30-year partnership between IPRA and St. Tite helped elevate Canadian rodeo and discover the groundbreaking technology shaping the future of the sport. In addition, Dale and Doug dive into the 2024 International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR), where the world’s best young rodeo talent, from the U.S. to Australia, come to shine.
